Let’s Shop Local This Holiday Season

Let’s Shop Local This Holiday Season

There are two people in this world – people who complete their holiday shopping in August, and people who (like me) haven’t started any shopping in mid-December. If you’re the latter, here are some ideas to help you shop local this holiday season!

Fair in the Square Until Dec 23
Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto

This December, Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto’s downtown core will be transformed into a charming European-style Christmas market with artisan crafts, treats, a winter carnival, skating, a fire lounge, and photos with Santa on the weekend!

Tuesday to Thursday: 4pm – 9pm
Friday to Sunday: 12pm – 10pm
Closed on Mondays

Paris Christmas Market Until Dec 22
Paris Wincey Mills, Paris

Get your shopping done at the Paris Wincey Mills! Vendors include: Wreaths, Jewelry, Soap, Apothecary, Vintage Finds, Cutting Boards, Christmas Decor, Fusion Glass, Fiber Art, Original Art, Christmas Cards, Bake Goods, Olive Oil, Shoes, Dresses, Kettle-corn and more!

Saturdays until December 22nd from 9am-5pm
Jingle Bell Night, Friday November 16th 9am-9pm

Holiday Market at the Brewery Dec 15
Nickel Brook Brewing Co., Burlington

In between your visits to the mall, stop into this holiday market to get your shopping done, eat some BBQ and donuts, drink some craft beer, and visit with Santa (from 1-4pm).

Toronto Christmas Market Until Dec 23
Distillery Historic District, Toronto

This beautiful market features beautiful lights, a huge Christmas tree, Santa’s house, and plenty of food and merchandise vendors.

Admission is free on weekdays until Friday at 5pm, then tickets are required. Your ticket will only be valid for a date and an entry time. The market fills up on weekends, so I’d strongly recommend buying your tickets online in advance!

If you’re planning to eat at one of the many restaurants here, again, they fill up quick! Book a reservation in advance or plan on eating from one of the outdoor vendors.

Open Tuesdays to Thursdays from noon to 9pm, Fridays noon to 10pm, Saturdays 10am-10pm, Sundays 10am to 9pm. The market is closed on Mondays.

Holiday Collection Pop-Up Market Until Dec 23
Outlet Collection at Niagara, Niagara-On-The-Lake

Get the best of both worlds and explore the many designer shops of the outlets as well as the artisan market! Live music, fire pits, shipping container shops make the market a wonderful stop in your weekend. Find the market in the courtyard in front of Saks OFF 5th.

Holiday Collection Hours:
Friday, December 14th – 12pm-9pm
Saturday, December 15th – 12pm-9pm
Sunday, December 16th – 12pm-6pm
Friday, December 21st – 12pm-9pm
